Hi! I’m Henry Block.
I am a writer in New York and a recent graduate of Brown University where I double majored in English and Linguistics. My writing has been published in The Onion, McSweeney’s, Reductress, and other online humor outlets. I'm currently working as an NBC Page.
Growing up in Chicago, I developed my sense of humor while training at The Second City, performing weekly improv and sketch shows around the city as part of the theater’s Teen House Ensemble. At Brown, I was a member of the improv troupe Improvidence, the sketch comedy troupe Out of Bounds, and am an Editor-in-Chief of The Brown Noser, a satire paper.
In addition to my multiple contributing writer positions, I have professional experience in TV and Film production.
See my resume for my full professional experience.
I play the banjo. I became licensed to drive this year. I’m pretty good at “flags of the world” trivia and I like the aquarium a lot. Feel free to reach out to learn more about my projects or work experience (or just to say hello!)
Enjoy exploring my website and haunted mansion!
